The Quelle Source - Escalation
From their album Enjoy The Ridge [2009], this band is made up of four dudes who dwell in Manayunk (hence the album name). They won “Best Indie Rock Act in Philadelphia” at Origivation Magazine’s 2011 Reader’s Choice Awards, but it’s definitely hard to pin their sound to any one genre. They’re phenomenal though. Another band sporting SJU alum :)

Langhorne Slim and The Law- Song for Sid
This is a live video from Langhorne’s performance at Main Street Music in Manayunk, PA last week. Boogie, Amberly and I were lucky enough to be there. This is such a beautiful song that he wrote for his grandfather. He grandmother was sitting directly in front of us, pretty touching stuff. Not to mention he’s just an incredible musician. As always, you should definitely check him out live if you ever get the chance. Best live performance I’ve seen in a long ass time.
